Tesla Expected To Record Upbeat Deliveries

Shares of Tesla are set to rally after reports have shown that the company may be posting delivery numbers in line with its own targets for the coming quarter. During the trading session at the beginning of the week, Tesla shares were trading higher by 3.88% to $327.29 per share on reports of the company potentially delivering better numbers to regular customers.


Tesla’s initial release of its mass-market Model 3 vehicle being sold at a starting price of $35,000 making it the most affordable Tesla vehicle yet was only made available to Tesla employees a couple of months ago.


Although Tesla has made various efforts in boosting their efforts in increasing and boosting the production of the Model 3 vehicle in able to meet its own targets. Aside from being able to deliver in time, Tesla also forecasted the deliveries of its Model 3 vehicle to grow starting its launch a few months ago until the end of the year until the first quarter of the year. Tesla also has originally stated that it expects its overall production to keep growing every month starting 2018.
Analysts Expect Tesla To Report Positive Delivery Numbers


Reports have revealed that Tesla may start delivering cars to customers outside the company or to customers who aren’t affiliated with the company. Tesla has also reportedly been stocking Model 3s on its delivery centers and stores recently. Although analysts have stated that deliveries and Tesla parking lots filled with cars may not mean that Tesla was able to address its production bottleneck issues, some investors took the reports as a positive sign for the case of Tesla’s Model 3 production and deliveries.


Despite expecting a deliveries of around 1,500 vehicles during the previous quarter, Tesla was only able to produce 260 vehicles during the prior quarter. The news of the flat delivery numbers sent the shares of the company down by more than 1%.


Tesla then revised its target and pushed back their target of producing 1,500 Model 3 vehicles during the first quarter of the year. During the previous month, Tesla confirmed the Model 3 configurator being opened to reservation holders which are not employees of the company which would result into reservations being turned into actual confirmed orders.


Tesla which confirms Model 3 configuration through emails was also confirmed by various sources. Other reports have also noted the sighting of hundreds of Model 3 units at one of its delivery centers in California.


In other Tesla news, its recently unveiled Tesla Semi-Truck has received its biggest order with the customer being PepsiCo who placed orders for 100 of Tesla’s electric semi-trucks.
